I think he Japanese have the right idea with their bathroom seteup. Shower to clean, deep tub to soak, the whole thing is made to get wet and the toilet is in a differnt room

Did you know that there is a french term “the American refrigerator?” Many other countries feel the same. In some ways I think that our setup hurts us. We don’t go to the market and get fresh food as often. It seems harder to find farmers markets. We don’t spend as much social time on food.

I’m not sure the benefits outweigh all of the problems. Does a family of two need that much space? How long does some of that sit in there? How much sits so long that it just gets thrown away?

How much empty space is in your fridge right now? Are you better off having thirty condiments hiding unused on a top shelf than having a few that you use and enjoy? Is buying that super jumbo bottle of ketchup really easier than buying it more often? Is the savings that great.
If it’s down to worrying about saving time and shaving off a few minutes shouldn’t we reevaluate our lives?

Space isn’t at as much of a premium here as it is many other places so we don’t think about it. Next time you cook look around, how much of what you have have you used in the last month? How often do you have more than two burners going? If you do, more power to you, if you don’t, do you think that the extra space would be better used for something else?

eb will most likely be moving soon. Blogger has been good to me but I'm feeling the limits of it. A side effect is that I won't be doing daily updates for a few days. I know that you will all miss the station wagons :)

One thing I don't understand is why there's not a largerr version of anything like this. Maybe I haven't seen it, maybe it's because the whole point was minimalist travel but I'd live to see something with a touch more storage

MeeVee: Your TV Friend

I like TV. A lot. IT helps me escape my sometimes crap existance. It entertaines me. Sometimes it even teaches me. This is a cool TV guide that lets you see when shows you like are on, any channel that they may be on an shows you if it's a new episode or not.

It could do with a couple more features and some lessons in user interface but at the moment it's how I'm finging what's on when I'm not just furiously hitting the channel up button
